Glucagen® HypoKit® is an injection of glucagon, a hormone that raises the level of glucose (a form of sugar) in the blood. The GlucaGen HypoKit includes easy-to-follow picture instructions so that family members, friends or co-workers can use the GlucaGen HypoKit to administer lifesaving emergency treatment for severe hypoglycaemic events. The bright orange protective case makes the HypoKit easy to travel with, and easy to find in an emergency and does not need to be refrigerated

GlucaGen may have been prescribed so that members of your household can give the injection if you become hypoglycaemic (low blood sugar) and are unable to take sugar by mouth.
